Carbon Fiber: The properties of carbon fiber such as high tensile strength, low weight, and low thermal expansion make it very popular in aerospace, civil engineering, military, and motorsports, along with other competition sports.

Carbon Kevlar®: Currently, Kevlar® has many applications, ranging from bicycle tires and racing sails to body armor because of its high strength-to-weight ratio—famously: "...5 times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis".

Fiber Glass: What is commonly known as "fiberglass" today, this is a somewhat similar to de carbon fiber, but less expensive technology used for applications requiring very low strength.
